Families are reminded that electric scooters are not permitted for use on public roads in Burnaby, as the city is not part of BC’s electric kick scooter pilot project. This means students should not ride or store e-scooters at school. In communities that are part of the pilot, riders must be at least 16 years old, but Burnaby currently has no designated areas for e-scooter use.
