Celebrating Black History Month at Edmonds

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the “Talk the Talk Workshop,” hosted by Candace Knoll and the Jr. Black Achievement Society. This workshop focused on public speaking and empowerment for Black Youth and their families through training, recognition, and access to education. We want to acknowledge the generosity of the United Way and Burnaby Community Schools in providing funding and space to make this event possible. We also acknowledge the endless support of our Edmonds parents and community members who shared their traditional foods, dance, music, and knowledge.  Helen, Kumba, and Fatima, thank you for the fantastic food! Thank you, Anti-Racism Coalition, Black Connections, Ethos Lab, and our Community Council members, for your many contributions.
